Learning and Development Intern (part time) - Albuquerque, NM

Role Summary: 

Join Summit’s Learning and Development team to build a world-class training organization. You’ll help Summit associates develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to excel in a highly technical and in demand field.  As the Learning and Development Intern you will be responsible for providing administrative support for Summit’s Learning and Development projects, evaluate internal and external training options, and organize training project activities.  

 Principal Accountabilities: (essential job functions)
  • Technical Support – Assist in the administration of Summit’s Talent Management software platform including data entry, tracking, pulling and creating reports, and updating records
  • Administrative Support – Administration of the training and development function, including:
  • Assisting with preparation for in-house courses
  • Arranging travel, meals, and/or other activity

Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint with the ability to adapt to and learn new software programs quickly
  • Effective knowledge of and experience in internet navigation and various search engines to include online arrangement of travel
  • Ability to research and find solutions for complex training needs
  • Must be extremely well organized with a strong attention to detail

Beneficial Skills and Experience:

  • Prior experience in arranging travel and/or planning or coordinating events in a corporate setting
  • 4 year degree or currently seeking a degree in Business, HR, or Organizational Behavior preferred
